Number of published plant genomes

The PubPlant catalogue of sequenced and published plant genomes currently includes the published genomes of around 2820 different plant species.

A list of plants, sorted by the date on which their genome was first published, is available for download in various formats. The list contains information about the plant as well as details of the first publication of its genome.

Number of plant genomes published each month

The graph shows the number of plant species whose genomes were published each month, based on a six-month rolling average over the last decade.

•  light green dots  number of plant species whose genome has been published for the first time
•  green dots  number of plant species whose genomes have been published for the second time
•  dark green dots  number of plant species whose genomes have been published for the third time

Cumulative number of plant genomes

The chart shows the cumulative number of plant species whose genomes were published in each quarter of the past decade.

•  light green bars  number of plant species whose genomes have been published at least once
•  green bars  number of plant species whose genomes have been published at least twice
•  dark green bars  number of plant species whose genomes have been published three or more times
